AEC objects in Revit

When importing an ACAD file into Revit, AEC Objects will not show, Right?

I have to explode all my AEC Objects to get the ACAD walls to show up in Revit?

Or

By chance am I missing something and I can load my ACAD files with out exploding my AEC objects?

(...and absolutly stupid that an Autodesk product needs to do this.)
