I have acad2002.
I have been using a pc3 file for years (months with the current plotter driver).
I have a black and white ctb file. This file prints everything in black except
two colors, which are for screened lines and solid fill, which plot their color.
Suddenly, these two colors plot cyan color. If I don't use the pc3 file to plot, just selecting the printer that the pc3 file utilizes, the two colors plot correctly(using the same ctb file).
The problem seemed to be in the pc3 file. I recreated this file and have the same problem.
This happens on two computers, using the same files.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to why this would happen.

Hi

Can you please post the PC3 & CTB files here so we can take a look.

Have a good one, Mike

Hi

From the experimenting I've undertaken it would appear that the Color Dependant Plot Style Table "BW.ctb" is the cause of the problem.

The following are the only two colour's within BW.ctb that are set to "Use Object Color" -

Color 253 - Use Object Color - Screening 100
Color 254 - Use Object Color - Screening 75

For the above two colour's, if you set "Dither" = On I believe you will then get the Plot results you require; did for me at this end when tested with "AN1NW9.pc3" (obviously I had to set this to output to file, so I could work with it at my end).

AN1NW9.pc3 -> BW.ctb (original) = Output as you described in your original post above (cyan output for Color's 253 & 254).

AN1NW9.pc3 -> BWnew.ctb (Copy of original "BW.ctb"with Dither = On) = Correct output (Color's 253 & 254 not output as cyan).

Have attached BWnew.ctb (in ZIP file) for your reference.

Have a good one, Mike

Mike,

Thank you very much for the solution.

Now I know what I did. I had a co-worker complain that the laser print had a dotted line pattern. I changed all the colors to dither off. This solved the line problem on the laser printer and caused the color problem on the inkjet plotter.

As usual it is lack of knowledge that creates the problem.
