I have three installs out of eleven of MEP 2009, that for some reason won't load the custom .CUI's I created and set current, but instead default to the Autocad MEP.cui? Should I set the icon target to ""C:\Program Files\AutoCAD MEP 2009\acad.exe" /p "user" or "C:\Program Files\AutoCAD MEP 2009\acad.exe" /ld "C:\Program Files\AutoCAD MEP 2009\AecBase.dbx" /p "AutoCAD MEP (US Imperial)"..?
Or is there another issue here?

I think there is a different issue. Is everyone using the same profile? Have you exported the profile from a good station and imported that profile on the bad stations?

P.S. I moved the thread since it sounds like CUI files might be involved.

I installed and started with the default .cui, in our case AutoCAD MEP (US imperial). Then I changed specific items, such as files paths, display colors, pickbox settings, etc., and saved to a backed-up drive as that particular user's default profile.
I then imported that same profile and labeled it as so-n-so's default profile in the comment box. I then tell each user to make the changes they prefer, ans be sure to save that profile to the same drive. This way I have multiple copies of a base point .cui to work with.
I had problems with Express tools getting messed up on one machine, but that was kind of a problem user, and I think the another user was launching with the icon one time and selecting the drawing file the next. That's why I started to suspect the windows icon launch was different.

Well, to launch MEP you need to use the icon with /ld parameter. The first icon you mention will launch the MEP product as vanilla AutoCAD.
