View Full Version : what all shows up in TOP of View Ranges?

I know that millwork/cabinets show up if the cut plane is set lower then the family but that the TOP catches it. what other family categories fall into this range? was looking in the help files for some sort of list and just can't seem to find it.

Look in help for "Additional View Range Rules"..

"There are a few categories for which an element located above the cut plane but partially below the top clip is shown in plan. These categories include windows, casework, and generic model. These objects are shown as viewed from above."

Note that casework and generic model have to be constructed to show as above and work with the above view range. It is not an automatic thing.

it was acually a mistake..sorry my pc shutdown in the middle of typing it and ended up posting it.

weird, my computer mysteriously reboot by itself earlier today while I was in the middle of something, also!
