default view template question

when we create new views, we want the view template to already be applied.

help is clear about how to apply a view template 'after' a view is made. is there a way to cause a specific template to be default 'before' the views are created?

I thought that you could apply the template (New Views ticked) - then delete all the views - then when making new views its already applied?

simply checking the 'Apply to new views' in the 'Apply View Template' dialog was what i was looking for. right infront of my face - D'OH!

if you are asking about deleting views already created, just select those views and apply the template... unless i'm misunderstanding you.
