Connector Element in Light fixtures

I noticed that some of the standard light fixtures in the library have a connector element in them that seems to be associated with a model object. I am making a new fixture and I wanted to know if I need to add a connector element and if so, how?

Hey there,
If I am not mistaken, connector elements are only needed if you are going to be doing the electrical design. This is where you can add parameters so that your schedules and maybe panels populate and loads are calculated.
I have not added any to my light families since my Electrical Engineer does everything so far. If he ever switches to Revit MEP, then that may change.
