Does anyone know what the differences are between this version of Revit and Web Update #3 (20081118_1045)? I say version because it would seem that Web Update #3 is 2009.0 and am thinking this is similar to 9 and 9.1.

I was logged into subscription and there is a download for this version of Revit (see attached image). I know I am not crazy because when i called into registration the other day to get a network license file, they asked if i was using Revit 2009.1. When i check the file version of the Revit.exe of my currently installed version it says 2009.0.2008.1118

I can't find any documentation on what the differences or fixes are between WU#3 and 2009.1. Have tried to ask Autodesk support but have gotten no answer on the differences other then which version to download. It just seems odd with the pending release of Revit 2010 that there is a .1 release available for Revit 2009.

Yo kenmarcus,

Revit Architecture 2009 - 20081118_1045, is Web Update 3, and the latest build.
Incidentally, it is not like Revit 9 vs Revit 9.1 where those were version releases not build releases.

trombe,

Thanks for the reply and I know this is all moot with the pending release of Revi 2010 but I guess I wasn't clear in my post so let me try again. Yes, I was under the impression that WU#3 (a.k.a. 20081118_2045) is the latest build of Revit 2009 according to the Autodesk Revit Architecture Product Download and Data web page; UNTIL I found a thread in subscription which points everyone to download a NEW version of Revit, which is 2009.1. WU#3 and all previous builds are 2009.0.

So I am wondering what is the difference between the .0 and .1 versions?

Here is the link to the download on subscription

You've probably got the Revit/AutoCAD Series, which bundles Revit with AutoCAD.
Sometime last fall, they also started bundling AutoCAD for Architecture, so you got a 3 for 1 deal (if you count AutoCAD as equivalent to Revit)

2009.1 was just another marketing-driven "version"

There was no difference in any of the software (I think the Revit was WU3).
