It appears that my revision schedule will not recognize any revision clouds/deltas that are placed on legend views. Can anyone verify that Revit (2009) behaves this way? Thought maybe a Visibility/Graphic issue, but can't find anything that would prevent the revision schedule from recognizing the revisions in the legend views.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this (other than drawing a revision cloud on the sheet, out of print-range)?

That is correct. Legend views are picky, in that they cannot even be numbered. It cannot recognize it, becuse legends are designed to go on multiple sheets. In the sheet view, without activating the viewport, place a cloud around the changed items.

...bummer. The problem is that when we place revisions, we just assume that Revit is tracking everything. We've already been through a couple projects and nobody here was aware of this. Will need to make sure that everyone in the office is aware of the fact that Revit will not track revisions in legend views. Revit should not allow revision clouds and deltas be drawin in legend views for that matter. Wish list item...

The reason Revit does permit them to be drawn is so you can include them in a Graphic Symbols legend, if you could not place them in a legend, you'd never be able to explain what they were going to look like, until you actually made one.

This after all was one of the primary reason Legend views were created in the first place

If your legend is placed in the same position across all sheets, then a workaround could be "Paste aligned to selected views":
1) Activate drawing view on the sheet.
2) Draw revision cloud around legend.
3) Copy and Paste aligned to selected views. Revision cloud will come to the drawing view, not sheet. Revision schedule will be updated.
