Has anyone had a problem with Mtext not being selectable?
We will create text using Mtext. Later we go back to edit the text and we can't select it.
Help!

Yep. All I do is regen the drawing and it's selectable again.

I know this sounds dopey but make sure both layer "0" and defpoints are turned on and thawed. When one or the other is turned off I always seem to have strange issues with selecting things. Usually it's viewports but this sounds similar.

Yeah, that's an issue with viewports. Both the defpoints and layer 0 need to be thawed. They are linked together deep in the code of ACAD.
I think the Mtext thing is just a bug. It doesn't happen to me too often, but it does happen. Sometimes, I can select all but one or two mtext items. I just type RE and hit enter, then all is well. I never thought too much about it.

do you have an AutoCAD Table in the drawing? Is the mtext true type font? If so, thats the combination causing the problem.

The regan didn't work. All layers are on, and unlocked. I talked with the techicaian some more. It only happens in Civil 3D. If we open it in AutoCAD it works, but of course we lose our alignment. There are no tables. It's a plan and profile sheet.
Anymore ideas.
