View Full Version : Flatten that works?

I've switched to a firm and they name their layers by lineweight (sigh) and use blocks to separate things on the drawing. For example, the grid is in a block, the structure is in a block, the residential units are in blocks, etc.

When I try to use the flatten command it fails. Either because things are in blocks, or there's something about a complex object which comes up as an error.

Is there a better way to flatten a drawing without exploding everthing then trying to re-organize it all. I don't want to to try and re-block things and follow the office standard (.. status quoe).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark.

1. Follow office standards.
2. Argue about office standards.
3. Follow office standards.
4. Do you really need to flatten everything?

Add this lisp routine to your Support directory and try it. I think it works great. There is a newer version, however it's just barely too large for me add here and, in my opinion, it doesn't work as well as this one.
