Does anyone know of any way to modify the 'dot' that is used in line patterns? It is 5/256", but I need to use it at a scale where it looks more like a dash. Is there a parameter somewhere that lets you change the size of the dot?

Why not just make a line pattern with a dash in the length that you need?

You can't make a dash that is smaller than a dot. I tried to do that first. And my dots look like dashes.

Just create a new line pattern with all dashes. You can define each dash as a different length.

Okay, I now believe there is no way change the size of the dot, and you can't make a dash smaller than a dot, so the solution here is to change the logic of my fire rating notation.

There were some drafting patterns posted awhile back that work great for fire tape in walls. It's basically a hatch pattern of lines spaced extremely closed together for a distance, then a space, then 1, 2, or 3 short sections of lines depending on the fire rating you want.
