I figured while everyone was waiting for 7.0 I'd ask a question about a problem I'm having.

I want to sweep a chair rail around a room but I want to be able to turn off the display in certain plans.

I know that I can sweep the chair rail around the room and assign the profile to a wall object sub-category, then turn it off. But I would like to have the sweep assigned as part of the wall assembly.

Is there anyway to assign a sweep that is part of a wall assembly to a sub-category of that wall so I can turn it off if I want to?

Thanks for any help that anyone can give today with everyones minds on the 7.0 release.

After reading about the new stacked wall options, etc., you might have better options in 7.0.

Thanks Andrew for the reply,

Doing my detective work, I assume by your reply that "we might have more options in 7.0", that we don't have that option in 6.1?

Hopefully, that will be the case.

Currently there is no way to control the visibility of an integral wall sweep., it automatically takes on the same display properties as the wall. I find myself usiing hosted sweeps more do to this current limitation. Hopefully 7.0 will let us assign sub categories as well as materials to the wall integral sweeps.
