can i link a drafting view back into a drawing?

i have some profiles from a GFRC guy and i want to sketch over what he gives me in acad with a filled region and insert it into view

In the view you wish to reference the drafting view from, activate the command for a detail, callout, section, etc. and before clicling on your first point, look at the bottom most tool bar, there is a box to "Reference Existing View". Click on it, and find the NAME of the view you want the mark to point to.
