Hi there, its my first post ever... I´m divind into to revit, actually I´m putting my feet in the water for now lol, no experienced at all, but with a big problem to solve..
My designs are mostly organic and the problem aways come when its time to put it digitally in 3d, I aways manage something in MAX, but now I want to make all my designs in BIM environment... is there a way to make a ramp like this in revit? I searched a lot and couldn´t find any thread about this, found some heli ramps, curved, but not with organic shapes... anyone could help?

This time even in max I´m not satisfied, I made it from a spline , but had to edit de poly to reshape it .. take a look at the right model (ramp03.jpg), its twisted so I untwisted it "by hand" , poly by poly to reshape it... not into that kind of hardword lol... revit must sabe me lol

Sorry about any english mistakes... not my language.

thanx,
Gustavo Goulart.

It's easy in revit in the ramp sketch mode use the boundary option in the left tab draw two boundary lines of the desired shape parallel to each other and add two risers to close the loop

But the edges aren't parallel in this case

EDIT: Which isn't important - the ramp tool works fine with non-parallel edges :)

I've been using the floor tool for these kind of ramps, then use the point tool to edit the elvations along the path.

Tricky to get a continuous gradient that way, but I suppose it makes it easier to align to other elements, and create landings. Oh, and you get all that ugly triangulation unless you can create perfectly flat quadrilaterals...

Hi there, thanx for the comments.. I try right now... lets see if my limited revit skills will kill my chances lol

Note you can turn off the inner triangles under VV>Floors>
