Hi all,
You know how, when you import a CAD drawing into Revit, there's no easy way of converting the lines into walls, doors, etc? Well, we've been working on some API code that does automatic conversion.
We're at the 'tuning and refining' stage now, and to test the code we really need more examples of CAD drawings.
We've set up a website at www.cad2bim.co.uk. There is a 'Free Sample' page at www.cad2bim.co.uk/freesample.aspx: If you upload a plan, section and elevation, we will (if the code works!) send you a free piece of Revit model.
We're also offering full building conversions as a service: If you need a set of CAD drawings converting to Revit, please get in touch.
