Those first messages are your Central file healing itself of something that was passed into it... I have seen this occur on a few occassions... But in my experiences, it never resulted in the third message you posted... I would recommend detaching from central, auditing and purging your work and creating a fresh central file (with new name) and all fresh local files...

Creation of the recovery file failed. Just pick up where you were. Follow the procedure outlined by Rick.
Also, your file directory screenshot suggests that both local and central files are being saved in the same location. I would highly recommend that local files reside on each user’s local hard drive.

Local files should definetely be stored locally, as AJH recommended.
Can you post your hardware stats? Ive found i get the "corrupt element" message, followed by a failed recovery save, when the computer im working on has reached its limit on useable memory.
How many warnings are there in the model?
CAD links?
Design Options?
A lot of in place families?
130 MB isnt too large in terms of just file size, (assuming youre on a 32 bit station with 4 gigs of RAM), but other factors could be hampering performance and driving the memory usage up.
