Select a wall and then press one of the directional arrows on the keyboard. You can "nudge" the wall over. The amount it moves is based on your snap increment. (settings...snaps...) This beats dragging the wall over a distance of 5 59/128"

The shadow feature in 2d elevations are pimp.

No more exporting to SU.

They fixed the problem of controlling model pattern lines on created objects!! Yeah!!

They didn't give an option for "make walls miter by default." Pooh, maybe next time.

Not thrilled with all those blue dividers in the dialogue boxes...something to get used to or just using up dialoge box space? Don't know yet.

Well there you go (maybe I just don't like change!). I have a feeling these dividers are in anticipation of further options which will eventually get confusing without them.

How 'bout this one: On the "line" options, yes it's neat that they put your last type selection up and in front, but now it's an extra click to get to another selection (hey, people like me love to ***** about the little stuff - actually, I think they will eventually give me what I really want, which keystrokes for those options).

This is just little stuff. Haven't had a chance to check out all the great improvements, but LOVE the shadows. They seem to work great so far. Design Options improvement very handy.

Aaron,

You're a St. Louis guy. What a class act the Cardinals are. 6 Gold Gloves with 23 Gold Glove Awards. Plus Pulos (sp?). He's being compared to Ted Williams and DiMagio. The Series goes to St. Louis tomorrow night and I have a feeling there's gonna be some comeback play. Good luck (but not too much). FYI, the Sox owner John Henry grew up in the St. Louis area, so that was his team.

Is it just me or does the trim tool not work on stacked walls?? I find i have to manual edit every join to get it to trim properly...

The wall shape handles for wall height are great!:Puffy:

Groups seem to be pretty intuitive. Automatically isolates detail and model items into separate groups then associates them to each other!!

Datum Extents and Visibility (that little 3D / 2D symbol you get at the ends of levels and grids) are a nice touch to help align grids and datum visibility in other views.

Try this:

Start a wall using the straight line segment tool. Go to the options bar, check Chain, and check "Radius" and set the radius to 10'-0" (or whatever you metric types like 8-) ) Now, place the first wall point, then the endpoint, then change directions and place the next point......did you see what happened?

it even works on viewports on a sheet. Really really nice job there Revit! just dup the view in the project browser, then click an existing viewport & place simluar, select the duped view, and bam!
