Detail Groups NOT DELETING!!!

I am trying to clean out a Template file. There are 4 detail groups that refuse to be deleted. I have tried everything I can think of. I have tried to right-click "Delete" them. I have tried right-click "Select All Instances" then Delete them. And I have tried Purging. When I go to right-click "Delete" or "Select All Instances" the options are grayed out (See attached Picture #1). When I go to Purge the Detail Groups there aren't any Detail Groups listed (See attached Picture #2). Does anyone know what is going on?

Okay, I just figured it out. Turns out that the detail groups that I wanted to delete were inside a Legend. (I don't know why they were in there to begin with? and Why couldn't I use "Select All Instances" to select them? I have no idea....

Hi deborahc,

As you have discovered, for some as yet unexplained reason, "Select All" selects everything in the model EXECPT those elements in a legend.

Seems weird, but apparently it has always been thus. :-)
