ISSUE
After successfully installing the 2010 version of ADR from the website, the program fails to start. After removing the application and re-installing ADR from the Autodesk DVD, the same error message appears (see attached).

I (think ) I deleted all the previous version's folders that I could find.

QUESTION
Has anyone experienced and, better yet, found a solution?

Have you tried launching ADR as administrator to see if it runs?

I've found that it can sometimes be flakey (2009 & 2010) if you don't first run as admin - especially if you happen to be running it on Vista.

Thanks for the response. In fact, I have administrative rights and was logged in as such in Win XP Pro.

I reloaded the 2009 version from my product (Inventor Routed Systems 2009) DVD without a hitch.

ADR 2010 - No go. Maybe it needs a clean installation at work. At home Win XP Home, ADR loaded fine.

My other Autodesk 2010 version products will not be loaded until service packs are released later so, my ADR 2010 will have to wait, too.

I just loaded ADR2010 on an XP computer that originally had ADR2009 and it launches without any problems (ADR Build Version = 10.0.0.108). XP Pro - SP2 (not SP3) - fully patched.

Now when you get to loading anything on Vista, you just might find that Administrator rights are not sufficient for some tasks - I have found that sometimes you actually have to "Run as Administrator" to get some software to register correctly. I have full local admin rights and quite often I have to "Run as Adminstrator" the first time that I load a new software package.

Failure To Launch

I get the same error message trying to start 2010.

Will DR 2009 run a dwf produced by Revit or Acad 2010?

I have been trying to install Inventor 2010 30-day trial but after installation and trying to open the program I get the message "License Expired" I spoke to Autodesk and they said I could download the 30-day trial from their website. What if the same problem arises ?
Now I have uninstalled the program and uninstalled any other expired Autodesk programs and files from my computer, can I reinstall the program nowing it will run or can I expect further problems ?

We had 2 users with a failures to launch. We repaired the Microsoft .NET 3.5 framework from the Control Panel on one of them. The other person did not have a graphics driver installed for video card. Upon ADR 2010 launch, the autoupdate feature polls the autodesk site; maybe this is being stopped by your enterprise firewall and hanging the launch all together?
