Raster Images

Is there a way to get raster images to display in front of geometry? Everytime I insert an image it disappears when it's behind anything. This is for 6.1, by the way. :)

I second this question. Also, what about scaling?

We still can't rotate raster images in 7.0 (except 90deg), it makes it hard to trace a plan when it has to be scanned perfectly aligned, maybe it will be in the final version or 7.1, fingers crossed.

If you have access to AutoCAD, and I imagine Microstation, you can align in that and then import or link the DWG, if this is not an option then you can consider rotating in photoshop or another image editing package. Both are workarounds but will get you close to what you need.

If you can't rotate the image, as Peter has suggested, try rotating the view to match the image. I've had some luck doing that. Turn on the view crop boundry, select the crop boundry, & either graphically rotate it, or type in the angle.

But it'll also show a whole lot of other stuff that I don't want to see! Thanks for the suggestion though. This seems to be something that needs fixing. :)

Rotate command doesn't work on 'Raster images' in the way you have suggested.

What Andrew is saying is to rotate the view, not the raster image.
