When I type the UCS command then "WORLD" my axis is tilted. Which to me doesnt seem correct.

Basically i need to have the Y Axis up and down and my X Axis right to left. Any suggestions on what i can do??

if that's what you need you need to be in a plan view. When you swtich to an elevation, ACA will switch the orientation of the UCS to make Y up and X to the left. If you are in an elevation and reset the ucs to world, z will be up and either x or y should be to the left or right depending on the orientation of the view.
I hope this helps.

Hi Michael,

First, nice trick being in New York and Santa Monica at the same time. :)

If you were in a "tilted" UCS then typing "UCS" and "World" will give you a tilted WCS. After you change the UCS to World then type PLAN and hit enter to change to the current plan view.

Hope this helps,

You can't do that and avoid changing orientation of z axis...

X to left, Y to up, Z to back is what is correct..., but if you really want this orientation you shouldn't change to plan view, because comp will align z axis to front, and then again X will be pointing to right.

To summarize, start cad, you'll be in plan view of WCS, type ucs z 180, type ucs x 180, and don't change view - you'll have X to left, Y to up, Z to back from front view...
