Ok my first Revit residential remodel, as if my last few posts didn't already make that obvious. I need to show a plan with existing conditions. Then I need to show new construction. Here's the tricky part, for me; All of the existing exterior walls will remain in the new construction drawing, only they will be raised from 8'-0" wall ht. to 9'-0". What would be the best way to do this?
Thanks

So you're adding framing on top of the existing walls to bring the bearing height up from 8 ft. to 9 ft. correct? If so, draw it the way it's built. 8 ft. walls on your existing phase, with new walls 1 foot tall on top of those.

Thanks Patricks. Seems too easy. Now if I could just figure out this view range dialog I'd be set. I'll get it. Thanks to all of you. Your patience and help is very much appreciated.

the other suggestion: if the wall exterior finish material will be removed from the old lower walls, and the entire building re-sided, I make that existing siding layer a separate wall, and the new tall siding a separate wall. that makes it easier to control visibility by phases.
