Copy rebar from one view to another

How do I copy a custom rebar shape from one view (section) to a different view (section)? For example, I have made a custom rebar piece in a curb (see attached pdf). I would like to copy this to other curbs running perpendicular to this view in the plan. I can't place it in a new place with Copy>Paste. If I try to copy it the regular way it won't go into a host except in line with where it was created. I need to copy it to another location and then rotate it so it lines up the same way. Since it was made with custom dimensions to fit this curb I don't want to have to repeat these steps several times. Note: I can pull this off in a 3D view but then I have to move it around so it lines up with the original location. Any help would be appreciated!

Once you create the rebar shape (assuming its 3D rebar). That shape should be added to your Rebar Shape Browser and available to be selected and placed in other concrete objects....

I usually do it like this.
1. Select rebar on section view
2. activate plan view
3. copy rebar..

For this method to work like charm the walls should be parallel.
