Exit sign issue

When I drop my newly created Exit sign into a ceiling plan, it shows the actual sign underneath the annotation symbol running right below the center of the symbol (see attached pdf). I would like to only see the symbol, not the sign itself (in RCP view). Do you know what causes this? See attached Family. Thanks!

Try the modified version attached. I think your problems was you didn't uncheck the plan/rcp visibility option for the 3D text.

I have been struggeling with adding a simple text label to the Exit sign, all I need is to add the letter "x" (for existing). It should be able to get turned on and off right in the RCP. Do you have any ideas?

See attached. I added the label with a visibility parameter to the annotation family, then linked its visibility parameter to a visibility parameter in the model family.
