Our designs are about 80% Custom Homes and the rest Light Commercial, with limited misc. Often our home plans include "Slab-on-Grade" & beams 12"w x 24"d min. Local engineers furnish review and detail instructions (generally in text formats) and seal our drawings. This worked rather well with CAD but not so well (yet) with BIM.
We currently use general beam CAD sections and import to Revit Detail sheets.

Q. What is the best way to show the slab-beam PLAN?
