I was wondering what the most efficient and best practices individuals are doing when it comes to export an Architect’s and MEP Engineer's models from Revit into Navisworks.
Currently we are working on a renovation/interior fit out of an existing office building. The models in Revit include existing to remain, demo, and new construction. I would like to run clash detection on these models in NavisWorks.
I was going to export only the existing to remain and new construction items and run a clash. However, I was wondering what others are doing in this situation? Would you import the entire Revit model and hide elements like demo walls and gridlines in Navisworks or would you only import then items that will make up the new interior?
Any advise is helpful, I’m am teaching myself both NavisWorks and Revit and trying to find best practices in the industry. Thank you.
