I have a Mac Book Pro and was thinking about splitting my hard drive with Boot Camp and installing Windows Vista Home Premium and then getting a copy of AutoCAD 2010 to load onto it.
Here are the specs for my machine, will I be able to run AutoCAD 2010?
Hardware Overview:
Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro4,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.5 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2

That should run it just fine. Only issue by be if your opening large 3D drawing.

Yes it will; however, I would recommend:
Windows XP Professional or the Windows 7 Beta
I would also recommend upgrading the RAM in your computer to at least 4 GB (You can get the specs for the RAM online and easily upgrade it yourself, the slots are under the battery, assuming it's a fairly new model).
I use 2010 on my Macbook (not pro) and I have upgraded it to 4 GB of RAM and it works great on both Windows 7 and XP running through Parallels. I would also recommend the 64-Bit version of the Operating System.

you have to be careful with 64bit os. AutoCAD installation files are configured so you can only install the 64bit version on a 64bit os. Some 3rd party apps dont have support for AutoCAD 64 (Eagle Point is one of them) and may not have any plans to support 64 bit AutoCAD.

We don't use any 3rd Party Applications that don't have 64-Bit Versions, so not an issue for us, but there are ways of installing the 32 Bit versions on a 64 Bit OS (But doing so definitely defeats the purpose of having the 64 Bit OS in the first place).
I recommend 64 BIT OS, simply because it can handle more memory than the 32 BIT OSes can.

I'm on your side as well, I have a special 32 bit installation of AutoCAD just for Eagle Point, but for my everyday production work, I'm using my 64bit installation.
