Yes, of course...
You can basically render anything you put in front of a Camera or 3D view.

So, Crop your 3D view or Camera View with a crop box / section box and render away...

To render a specific section or elevation, go to 3D view, right click on the view cube in the to right corner, go to orient to view, then select the view you want, and then you will be able to render it.
