Since no one seems to answer on the others I'll post here.

I just downloaded a JPG to replace my kitchen tile. It all goes in but the grout lines don't show up. How do I get the grount lines to show up on a new material? (The surface pattern is set to crosshatch)

Your jpg image needs to contain the grout joint too. Then create a greyscale of the tile to use as the bump. Take a look at the make up of the out of the box tile materials and duplicate what they have done. So you need a photo editing tool to create your materials typically. so for each tile material you'll have one image map that is the colored version(note the real world size of the sample, ie if your image shows 4 tiles(2horiz and 2 vert) and each tile is 4", then your sample is 8" wide. and thats what you enter in the size field next to the image map). Do the same for your bump map.
