Batch Upgrade for 2010?

Has anyone figured out how to make the batch upgrade tool work for 2010? Since I don't have my license activated yet, running the automatically generated journal file doesn't work properly.

Given the stability problems that others are reporting and the lesser problems with my installation of 2010, I am not going anywhere near the batch upgrade for sometime yet.
