will 2010 and 2009 work side by side?

or will I have to remove 2009 (or the software will do it automatically)?

I know some version we've been able to do this, and some not.
I'm reading lots here, and want to dabble. But I do not want to uninstall 2009 just yet.

You can use both side by side, both practically and legally, per subscription rules.

I've got both running right now, without a problem. No need to uninstall 2009, and it won't even ask you to when you install 2010.
