Beam family not visible in topview

I created a beam family with variable height.
It starts with a height of 500mm and ends with a height of 900mm

in a section I can see the beam but in planview the beam is gone.
You should see it as hidden lines but there is nothing.

What am I doing wrong?
the beam was created from an existing family with a normal beam in it (same height)

Have you checked the view range, visibility/graphic overrides, and object styles for the hidden lines?

Yes, I checked the view range, visibility/graphic overrides, and object styles for the hidden lines. everything checked OK.

Then I created a new beam from scratch, same problem.
Again I created a beam modifying an existing beam, and yes, result, the hidden lines where visible but I still cannot see my analytical is still not visible.....My other beams show the analytical line??
