Importing Linetypes

Hi all, I want to change one of the linetypes in my styles manager to a "real" fence linetype (---x---x---). I have created the linetype and now I can't seem to figure out how to load it into the styles manager.

Instead of adding the data again through shps and then changing it to a fence linteype, is there a way to just add it to the pull down? Data connect has been a hugely frustrating tool.

The linetypes in the style manager are hard coded into the program, users can not add any new types. It's been on the list wish since FDO started.
