tapered concrete slabs

has anyone come accross a way to taper structural or topping concrete slabs
i want to hold a constant bottom elevation and slope the top

1. Go to the Type Properties of the Slab
2. Select the Edit button next to the Structure parameter under the Construction Heading
3. In the Edit Assembly dialog Check the Variable Check Box (this is the step often missed)
4. OK out of the dialogs
5. You can now select the slab and use the options bar items to slope it and the bottom will remain at a constant elevation (flat)

Note: that since this is a type parameter all slabs of this type will behave this way. For example: if you need a 6" Concrete Slab that is variable and one that is not you will need two different slab types in your project.
