Hello,

We have a situation where we now need to make a "future" phase and move many items to that phase. When we move the walls from a current phase (Phase 2A) to a future phase (Phase 4A), the rooms enclosed by those walls go haywire, find the next closest "bounding" elements, and attach to those. How can we move both the walls and rooms to a future phase?

Thanks,
Jim

Walls can be reassigned to another phase by editing its properties, but Rooms cannot, as you've probably found. What you need to do is use Cut & Paste. Cut the walls and rooms, and then in a View that has its Phase set to the future phase, Paste Aligned to Same Place. Then you can go back to the original floor plan and place another Room that will be part of that phase (or leave one of the rooms there in the first place).

Yeah, that's what we've found. Cut/Paste is our only option. Here's the kicker - Select Similar is greyed out, so we have to do it one at a time! Gotta love it...

Thanks for the response!

Can't you go to a plan view and window around the whole model then filter out everything but the room?
