Hi all,

Within the 2010 Keyboard shortcuts Text File, is there any way to create a shortcut for "Filter."

I don't mean the filter rules, that you would set in your visibility / graphics window. I mean, the button that looks like a funnel, that allows you to isolate categories during a multi select.

Thanks in advance,

Bryan

Nope. Wasn't in 2009 either.

Damn... Was hoping they added it.

You know, I found that you could add keyboard shortcuts for lines that were in the default KeyboardShortcuts.txt file. For example, there isn't a default shortcut line for Graphics-Filters. I found that I could create a line such as...

"FT" ribbon:"View-Graphics-Filters ... and that seems to work.

But... That's not the tool I'm after.

I tried:
"FT" ribbon:"Multi-Select-Filter"
and
"FT" ribbon:"ContextualTab-Filter"

But neither seem to work.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

put it on your quick bar and use ALT + number that it gives it?

That's a good suggestion. Unfortunately, unless I want to hide a bunch of the default QAT items, the default will be ALT + 8. Not exactly an easy keystroke combination with the left hand.

Not as quick as "FT" would be, for example.

But thanks for your suggestion.

saeborne,

You were close. I've found out that the shortcuts structure is Tab-Panel-Command

"FI" ribbon:"ContextualTab-Filter-Filter"

This will also work for Finish and Cancel in a sketch mode (floor, roof, mass, etc) You only need to define one of the finish/cancels as it works for all of them for some reason.

For some reason, I can't get it to work on Edit Boundary/Footprint/Sketch. Still trying to work it out.
