Revit Architecture 2010 64-Bit

I just went on the Autodesk subscription site and I didn't see a download for Revit 2010 64-Bit. Does anyone know when that is going to be released?

it is available now, but you wont see a 32bit or 64bit version on there, it is one download, and the corret version is installed based on your operating system

and its an option when doing a deployment, so if you have a mixed environment, then you will need to do 2 different deployments

Does anyone know how I can load the Revit 2010 32 bit version on Vista 64 machine? I'd like to have both versions loaded on my machine for compatibilty with multiple clients using the software... I can't seem to find out how I can trick the installer to provide me with both options...

There are no compatability issues between the 2. There is no need to install them both.

Just be careful on very large projects ( over 200MB ) when saving in 64 bit,
32 bit users may not have enough memory (RAM) to open the file saved in 64 bit
w/ more RAM.

Thank you for the reply... I understand completely... I need to install the 32 bit version and I can't seem to get around the intellect of the installer... I don't want to have to install another OS just for the 32 bit version...

You wont be able to install the 32 bit version on a 64 bit OS. Why do you need the 32 bit version?

I'm implimenting a BIM Workflow and I've just found out that the software I've purchased is only compatible with Revit 2010 x32... Now, I will have to install RAC on a different OS that will support the x32 product... I thought I could get the x32 on Vista by editing an MSI... No can do? If I load XP Pro 64, RAC will give me the option for x32 and x64? Correct? How about if I move to Windows 7? I've heard good things about Win7... The bleeding edge...

Will the autodetect also prevent a load of x32 Revit within Win 7 x64? How about XP Pro x64?

It's been my experience that all Autodesk products will not let you install them on the other OS. So if you try to install RAC on your XP32 machine, it will install the x32 version.

You could setup a virtual machine with Windows 32bit for installing Revit 32bit. You can get Microsoft's Virtual PC or Sun's VirtualBox, both are free.

I appreciate the responses. It looks like I may be moving the VM direction. That was an option I pondered last evening. As far as the software that I'm working with? Yea, I'm pretty upset that the software conversion process only works in Revit x32. Yes, I was deflated when I started to test the workflow and found the Revit addin didn't show up when I installed the software. I unistalled, reinstalled, thinking I did something wrong. Then, I decided to actually read the "readme" file that presents itself for viewing durring the completion of installation. After weeks of going over "how to" files, testamonial videos, there it was, third line down, "The 64-bit versions of Revit 2010 products are not yet supported." And yes, I became even more upset when the AE I called for support tried to justify the situation by saying Vista x64 is a "fairly" new platform. I think the problem was that they built their initial product using a different BIM application and by not paying attention to the Revit/Autodesk Legions!!! I don't want to hurt their business by disclosing their name.. I'll give them an opportunity to get things corrected and I will work to assist them by giving them an earful... and I will continue to create a productive BIM workflow for my employer and coworkers. There is no turning back now... And pointing fingers doesn't help either... "BIMMING is a painful game, but someone has to play!" "Let's do this!!..." to be continued...

Glad to see that you are pushing forward with BIM even with hurdles in front of you. It is definitely worth it.
