Importing old UI from 2004 into Autocad 2014
Was trying to customize my ui in autocad 2014. In my old version of autocad 2004 Icustomized the acad.mnu file to add a new tab. This tab was customized to open different dialog boxes and run someautolisp routines. I was trying to loadthis file into autocad 2014. I renamedthe file TW.mns but when I try to load it I get an error message that thisgroup already exists. I won’t be able touse my routines without the dialog box I don’t believe. It has also been a long time since Iprogrammed these files in autolisp. Everything works fine in autocad 2004. I currently am using autocad 2004 in a virtual machine running windowsXP. Any help would be appreciated.
Re: Importing old UI from 2004 into Autocad 2014
AutoCAD switched to CUI files in the 2006 versions. You've got to familiarize yourself with the CUI editor & add a new partial one for your customization. Go to the CUI-Menus forum and read thru all the sticky threads at the top. congratulations on doing a ten version upgrade, stay calm it's going to take a while. Many of the routines I used that long ago I can do with built in functions and palettes now.
