I've been trying to find a 3d model of a drum set to no avail. It doesn't have to be revit, but I need to be able to convert it to revit. So that means dwf or dxf. So if any one knows, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Under their "free stuff" you can find all kinds of drum sets, from a little Ringo Starr drum kit to a big *** David Gilmore setup in there. they are cad or 3ds solids and then just import them into a *.rfa and you are all set...
Thanks for your help. I tried what you said. The DXF file for the drum set does not appear to be working anymore and the 3ds files are not happy about being imported into a family file. Do you have any idea what I am doing wrong?
Yeah they are MAX files, let me take a second here I will open them in max, export a 3ds, then insert a 3ds into autocad, then save that cad file and import that into revit. Give me a minute and I will get these for you...
***Edit*** Or wait you can export a dwg directly from max now, see I just dated myself... I will post them as cad files so you can generated you RFA as you like...

I made this a while ago. hope this helps. I did it in revit so you should be able to manipulate the parts easily. Also the materials are editable. Enjoy!

Peter,
Interesting family creations.
I'm anxious for the day when we will have sound sample parameters to add to families like yours.
We'll get em tuned up and takem for a ride!
Thanks for sharing...I took your kit and moved the snare, floor tom, hi hat and cymbals around so I could play it...aah much better! :D Except that I usually only use one rack tom..haha...Quote:

Just for clarity and because beegee and Steve Shell appear to be asleep, Dave Gilmour was guitarist with Pink Floyd. Nick Mason was the drummer.Quote:

Wow, thanks again for that model. I was able to use dwg file for import. But the Revit file is awesome. What a great group of guys and gals in this forum. It's like having additional staff support! Thanks again everyone.
