LIST Command doesn't list Attached by Layer Materials

According to ACAD Documentation, the SHOWMAT Command has been integrated with the LIST Command for ACAD 07. ACAD 06 SHOWMAT Command listed if a material was attached by layer if I picked a 3D Solid on a layer with an attached material, but when I LIST a 3D Solid on a layer with an attached material in ACAD 07, LIST does not indicate a material is attached by layer to the object.
Is there a fix without invoking MaterialAttach to display the Material Attachment (By Layer)

As far as I am aware the _.List command will only show Materials that have been attached by Object / ByBlock ( not ByLayer ).

As you have discovered you can use the _.MaterialAttach command to see which Materials are attached to which Layers.

Have you looked at the _.Properties command ( Properties Palette ), does that give / offer you the information you are after, on a per Object bases ?

Properties only states the material is attached by layer, not which material it is, unlike Showmat.
