Polylines and Total Length
Summary: Multi-segment lines & curves that can be selected as one entity and report the total length.
Description: Polylines with a total length parameter that adds up all the segments. This parameter should be taggable also.
How Used: In creating exiting diagrams for plan check we often have to show a path of travel with a line. This path of travel should be able to be tagged to show the total length on the plan.
Feature Affinity: Drafting tools

Re: Polylines and Total Length
I want this feature in Revit. It is one of the most useful features in AutoCAD.
Re: Polylines and Total Length
I don`t know if another object type is needed, but simply having Revit provide the length os a series of selected, continuous lines would provide this functionality, which is needed.;)
Re: Polylines and Total Length
This is a very important tool for producing Life Safety plans when designing hospitals. There are seven or eight different paths and distances that need to be tracked, and many end up being very convoluted. In addition, we often have to examine many different paths to see which one ends up being the longest in an given situation. Having a polyline whose end we can drag around from room to room is such a radical time-saver that we ofter resort to doing this work in AutoCad.
