Renumbering Tags - question
This is a simple question guys.
What happens if I am tagging object in viewpoints around my model.
Item 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.
then all of the sudden, I delete TAG #1 from x-viewpoint and I realize it is be suited in y-viewpoint. When i go to y-viewpoint which originally had Tag #2 I want to add a new Tag #1. However since the last tag I placed in the project was #5, then new tag becomes #6. I want Tag #6 to actually be Tag #1. Is this possible? I cannot seem to find any help in the help documents other than the "renumber tool" which looks at different NWF models linked an re-numbers duplicates.
Thank you

I gave up on tags for pretty much that exact reason. When my users need to comment on viewpoints, I'd prefer they make a viewpoint, make comments directly on the view, and save the viewpoint in a format such as WW ( for Work Week) - Mech - ABC (users initials) - Clash # (if any) - etc. - etc.
Viewpoints are a LOT faster when you're not trying to figure out how to renumber or worry about the tags..
Re: Renumbering Tags - question
Part of the problem for me with the comments it that once you place them you cannot move them, can you?
Would please post a screen shot of your typical review viewpoint? I am starting to realize that the answer to my Q is no.
Re: Renumbering Tags - question
last sort is to save the tag view into xml and then edit the tag # in xml
Re: Renumbering Tags - question
and then delete all the tags in the project and re-import them? ill have to try this.
Thanks

Or you can poke yourself in the eye with a sharp stick or wait until your toaster gets red hot and jam your hand down inside it.
All are around the same level of pain..
