importing Revit file
Hi there, I'm a new user of VIZ. Recently I use Revit for designing process. Since Revit and VIZ come from the same company, Autodesk, I'd like to render my Revit file in VIZ. But the problem occurs when I import it. The object is recognised as polyface and I face difficulties with the rendering process. Does anybody know? Thanks.

RE: importing Revit file
There is a new release of Revit ( R7.0 ) due within a few days, ( probably around 25th October ).
The pre-release blurb states :-
" In addition to the native rendering and animation capabilities of Autodesk Revit, you can also fully realize your designs with Autodesk VIZ 2005. Import Revit produced #D DWG files into Autodesk VIZ 2005 ( via plug-in ), complete with Revit materials, to create stunning photorealistic interior and exterior renderings. "
It is anticipated that this will make the whole Revit - VIZ interaction a whole lot smoother than it is currently.

RE: importing Revit file
I saw a Demo of V7 tonight. There will be a plug-in for Viz 2005 that you will be able to download as soon as V7 of Revit is released. Materials from the Revit model will maintained into Viz. The version look like a giant leap in the right direction for many reasons and I am looking forward to getting it.
