First Exterior MR rendering
I'm pretty happy with this one - it's amazing how much better the MR rendering is than Accurender. It was a challenge to get good lighting because this facade is North-facing and we didn't want to fake the sun's position - early morning seemed to work best.
This shot is mostly straight out of Revit - it has very minimal Photoshop (added sun in the sky and did minor level and saturation adjustments)

Looks pretty nice from the thumbnail... for some reason when I click it seems to be a broken link to see the full size one...

Hey there,
I could open it and it looked really nice! I like that time of day for rendering.....makes for a dramatic look.

Re: First Exterior MR rendering
How did you get that sort of light reflecting off the building? Was that automatic when you set up the time and place to be early morning?

Re: First Exterior MR rendering
Looks great!
Is each metal panel a object, or did you use a bump map?

I am having the same broken link issue or bad file depending on the browser. Could you upload it again?

Re: First Exterior MR rendering
works fine for me in Firefox 3.
Re: First Exterior MR rendering
Hmmm... it's not working for me either. (using IE 7) I kept it under the 1mb max file upload size, but just barely.
The light reflecting off of the metal panel was automatic in this view based on the material and sun/shadow settings.
At first I made the metal panels using a custom bump pattern, but couldn't control the color of the reveal - it ended up being lighter than the panel rather than darker for some reason. I ended up creating a void wall family that cut the reveals of each panel instead which worked much better.
The multi-color panels are terra cotta and were created by a colleague of mine using a curtainwall system.

Ok...still not working when you click the link in IE. Not sure why. I've found that if you right click and "Save Target As", you will be able to download the file to your computer and view it that way. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be??
