Better Control over the shape and attachment of the Leader Line.
Summary: I want more attachment options and more shape options for Leader Lines.
Description: for instance the dragged state of a leader line for a structure is limited to the center of the structure in the profile view. I would like at a minimum options for top right left and bottom in addition to center.
We use a polyline with a width starting at 0 and widening to 1 ft at 40 scale where it is attached to the label. This part of our company style cannot be done with the current limitations of the shape of the Leaders for C3D labels. I have to turn off Leader lines and manually draw these label leader lines myself and attach both ends to the corresponding object and label.

Re: Better Control over the shape and attachment of the Leader Line.
I've been requesting this for a couple years. I'd like to see some added control over the frame as well. Current standards are to have a drop shadow type of thickness, and I have to add a thickened polyline on two sides in order to accomplish this.

Wow that's a pretty specific requirement. It's not available in any other part of Civil 3D or AutoCAD... Seems like a dynamic block might work?

You can accomplish this in the Command Settings.
TOOLSPACE> Settings Tab >Pipe Network> Commands> AddNetworkProfileLabels> (or AddPartProfileLabel)... In the Diabox, Expand Default Profile Label Placement... Change Structure Label Placement to desired location.
This can also be changed during the label placement process by checking the "Click to edit command settings" Button on the Add Labels Pop-up
