Edit part in context while part is open?

Hi all,

I've just been asked this question, and I've wondered it myself. Is it possible to edit a part in the context of an assembly, While that part is open for edit in it's own window?

I'm pretty confident that it can't be done, but I'm quietly hoping I'm wrong.

Anyone able to confirm this?

Cheers

1. You can edit a part while working in an assembly.
2. You can open a part in its own window and edit the part in that window.
3. If you go back to the assembly and try to edit that part in the assembly Inventor will go to the open part file.
