Making a schedule easier to read

I tried a search but didn't see this comment anywhere...so forgive me if it's a repeat.

When working with large schedules (i.e. door schedules), I'd like to have a way to maybe make it easier to read across the page and reducing the chance that the reader's eye will skip to the wrong row as it moves over.

For example, maybe adding a blank line every five rows...or being able to add a heavy or double line every five rows...or maybe even allowing the user to have alternating grey and white rows....or any variation or combination of the above. A quick google and I found something similar to what I was thinking...
