I'm having an issue with a data shortcut. I have .xml files of an existing surface and a proposed surface that I inserted into a drawing. I created a reference for both of them and they show up in my drawing perfectly. All is well to this point. I then clicked the green check box to close the data shortcut dialogue box and save my drawing. After I'm done working in the drawing, I save and exit.
Now when I open the drawing back up... The data shortcuts aren't in it. In the toolspace, under surfaces, it shows there is an existing and proposed reference in the drawing but if I try to synchronize them, I get the error "Reference for surface is broken". Now if I go into data shortcuts and reinsert the .xml files, the two data shortcuts will appear without me having to create a reference for them. Once I do this, the data shortcuts behave fine.... untill I exit the drawing of course.
The weird thing about this all is my co-worker can open up the drawing on his machine and the data shortcuts will be there for him without him having to reinsert the .xml files like I have to do. It may be a setting that I have to change, can someone help?
