Windows - Embedded Windows and Floor plan Views
I have windows that are stacked on one another...the middle windows kept deleting out from my group, so I made a stacked window family that had the individual windows embedded into it.
The problem I am having is that the in floor plan, the windows from the upper levels are appearing. I didn't initially make them shared windows, but will likely do that for ease of changed them out.
Does anyone know how to fix the visibility issue? I just want to see what is cut through in the window, but maybe that is not possible with this type of family.
Thought about Object Styles, but that seems like a nightmare and not really user friendly...but that's what we ended up using for head and sill properties...so that might have to be it!

I vaguely remember running into this at some point. If you make the nested windows shared like you were going to I think you can select them individually and hide the ones you don't want to see. I'm not sure what happens if you reload the family, if the hidden element comes back.
Re: Windows - Embedded Windows and Floor plan Views
Hi,
Have you tried disabling the visibility of the 3d elements in the family and replacing them with symbolic lines?
Re: Windows - Embedded Windows and Floor plan Views
Thanks for the suggestions. I think hiding 30 windows with the thought that they might come back is...concerning. I haven't tried to mess with any of the settings visibility for the individual windows (show when cut, etc.) I'll give that a whirl, (object styles do not work)
Edit: Shared embedded family fixed everything.
