    Default Editing Mtext

In 2006 you could double click mtext and it would open the editor. It won't do that in 2009 I ahave to start a edit command everytime. Pain in the $*% and slow.

Is there a setting I have wrong?

In the CUI, Double Click Actions, Mtext,....

Also ensure PICKFIRST=1 ... or if you prefer the Options dialog, turn Noun / verb selection on under the Selection tab.

BTW, the Double Click editing Aaron suggests can also be done at command line: DBLCLKEDIT=1

If neither of these help, then Richard's probably got the answer. It's probably a CUI which is not set to run MTEDIT for MText double clicks. See attached for standard ACAD.CUI version of MText Edit.
